Clutter 03:44
Voices spinning out in my head again Fumbling around amidst all the clutter Started maxing out and I don’t know when Serotonin smiles began to get dimmer Oh oh…inner aura spiralling see it simmer Oh oh…on the rise standing up to deliver Voices spinning out in my head again Fumbling around amidst all the clutter It started minimising and I don’t know when Serotonin smiles began to get dimmer Oh oh…inner aura spiralling see it simmer Oh oh… on the rise standing up to deliver When metaphoric days bring on simile nights Emphatic ways should ignite Songs in a daze always try to harmonise Vivid recall internalised Listen to that voice in my head again I won’t let me down because I’m no quitter Started listening close and then tapping in See the dynamic dimension getting clearer Oh oh…inner aura sparkling see it shimmer Oh oh…on the rise standing up to deliver When metaphoric days bring on simile nights Emphatic ways should ignite Songs in a daze always try to harmonise Vivid recall internalised

Dead Inside 04:45
The algorithm decides your destiny Keeps the starving masses fat On a diet of fear and apathy, ignorance We all fail to see that You only believe what you were told You only see what you were shown You only do as you are told Daily deception fuels your warped perception breeds And everything that’s wrong is someone elses’ fault A willing subscriber – another cog in the machine It keeps turning, turning, turning on in itself But are you alive? Are you alive? Are you alive…are you alive? are you alive? You don’t seem alive to me But are you alive? Are you alive? Are you alive…are you alive? Are you alive? You don’t seem alive to me You’re just dead inside to me Misinformation creates your identity Keeps the starving masses fed On a diet of austerity – hypocrisy Corruption of how great things used to be You only believe what you were told You only see what you were shown You only do as you are told Are we really so content or naïve to believe State-sponsored media distortions, smears, lies and deceit… payments for peerages, for wealthy elites; dodgy backhanders, friends with benefit schemes; and since you’re asking “more freedom please”; think tanks concocting more corruption and sleaze; it’s getting hard to see the wood from the trees; oh what a tangled web we weave… But are you alive? Are you alive? Are you alive…are you alive? Are you alive? You don’t seem alive to me You’re just dead inside to me

Where I Am 05:43
Another lucid soul Have I found my medium Let me take your leave But don’t worry I’m still breathing Right to be the one to be wrong right now Wrong that I’m the one to be thrown right down And I am throwing sixes, that’s all I can To try take me over, over to where I am Nothing ventured nothing gained But you know I’m keeping track of me Armed with my prose You give it flight and I will give it meaning Right to be the one to be wrong right now Wrong that I’m the one to be thrown right down And I am throwing sixes, that’s all I can To try take me over, over to where I am And I want you to see me with my head held high above water I’m just trying to breathe and I know it Right to be the one to be wrong right now Wrong that I’m the one to be thrown right down And I am throwing sixes, that’s all I can To try take me over, over to where I am

Ctrl 03:29
He incites a million followers one day, they say “we love what you’re doing” And he gets all the love he needs from what they say if he just posts about how he is feeling narc, narc…I see who you are controlling the controlling agenda’s gone too far narc, narc…we see who you are transparency precedes you, like anybody else who needs you They ask him once he twists it round and round again Humanity is grieving For years and years it goes around and just becomes Years of planned deceiving narc, narc…I see who you are controlling the controlling your agenda’s gone too far narc, narc…we see who you are transparency precedes you, like anybody else who needs you narc, narc…I see who you are controlling the controlling agenda’s gone too far narc, narc…we see who you are “We’re stronger together” he tells them all “so here’s what we’re gonna do” “We’re gonna march in guns a-blazing but I’m gonna hide behind you” Your gaslightings’ light’s gone out….I wonder if there’ll always be doubt narc, narc…I see who you are controlling the controlling agenda’s gone too far narc, narc…we see who you are transparency precedes you… narc, narc…I see who you are controlling the controlling agenda’s gone too far narc, narc…we see who you are transparency precedes you, like anybody else who needs you Transparency eludes you, like anyone else would ever need you narc, narc…I see who you are controlling the controlling your agenda’s gone too far narc, narc…we see who you are

I was the one with a plan and a vision…You were the one to move closer to me But I’m not thinking of abandoning my mission Even my stars are saying to me That even when you let me in nearer there’s only a small space in you And even when you allowed me to push further It’s only allowed when it’s good for you And I am seeing again, I believe it again The sun is shining in my eyes and I can feel it again I go on a whim, never going to compromise This feeling again, cause when you see it again The benefits are all mine, and I can see it again - I believe it again Gonna be that person, gonna be that person, they don’t recognise Into my soul inject slow-release as I plead with my heart to just give me peace Magnitude loud it takes it’s toll, spins me a line and let’s it unfold Cos even when you let me in nearer, there’s only a small space in you And even when you allowed me to push further It’s only allowed when it’s good for you And I can see it again, I believe it again The sun is shining in my eyes and I can feel it again I go on a whim, never going to compromise This feeling again, cause when you see it again The benefits are all mine, and I can see it again - I believe it again Gonna be that person, gonna be that person, gonna be that person, Gonna be that person they don’t recognise

60 Seconds 01:00
60 seconds to say goodbye 60 seconds no time to question why No chance to pack a bag No time for tears or to cry 60 seconds until bomb blast 60 seconds until your home is flat Reduced to rubble at the blinking of an eye 60 seconds to stay alive In a conflict that's not even your own to decide Leaders talk while people die 60 seconds no time for tears or to cry For the futile waste of life 60 seconds to realise How lucky it is to be alive

Listening to see, telling it to be Don’t pull the light down, where we all drown Telling it to see, listening to be But you pulled the light down, where we all drown I’m reclaiming from the fire, watch the flame grow higher in me When there’s someone else to blame, it’s fodder for the flame to breathe Breathe…Still breathing…Believe….still believing If we ever were, ever were free What’s the concept of how that should be I’m reclaiming from the fire, watch the flame grow higher in me If we ever were, ever were free What’s the concept of how that should be When there’s someone else to blame, it’s fodder for the flame to breathe I’ll reclaim it from the fire, and watch the flame grow higher in me

Decisions 03:02
We only see what we want to cos we are so blind But when it comes down to trying to live with someone you find We steal from, and are stolen from, our integrities and our pride How can we love one another when it’s our true feelings we hide And I ask you do you love me like I would always want you to To be near me, will you hear me, if at sometime I should ask you who Who are you and what kind of a man Will you be till this life is through Look now don’t worry, I’m in no hurry I will just sit waiting till God knows when You have made all, all of your decisions And just maybe I can go on living then But till that has happened you know you’ll always be a friend And I ask you only one favour and if you haver I know where I stand But don’t tell me, tell me you love me If you have no intentions of seeing it through So be gone, think about it All of the decisions now lie with you

Gravity 03:30
Tell him it’s nothing, I just needed to speak Everyone’s got the freedom of speech He’s so hung up on things he cannot see I never once asked him to love me And while we’re on that, what’s so hard to love? There are worse things to be thinking of All of your endeavours are steeped in ironies I never once asked you to love me? And Jamie, you throw your weight around but it’ll never match The wait that’s in my mind And maybe, one day I’ll get me back I’ll see you, where you are I won’t be your lost and found My eyes accustomed, they see colour in black And the realms within me still call me back Back to a place of aerial screens Watch you fill and paint your life in green Can’t put my finger, finger on you at all You pick me up just so I can fall You read my notes, then read them back to me I never once asked you to love me? And Jamie, you throw your weight around but it’ll never match The wait that’s in my mind And maybe, one day I’ll get me back I’ll see you, where you are Won’t let this bring me down – And the weight that’s in my mind knows it could never match All this waiting around, and maybe One day I’ll get me back I’ll see you where you are Won’t be your lost and found And every time I feel I’m on my way to some place good you seem to find a way to creep in And reveal Something that you know will reel me in and get me in and keep me in I can’t keep losing me And Jamie, you throw your weight around but it’ll never match The wait that’s in my mind And maybe, one day I’ll get me back I’ll see you, where you are Won’t let this bring me down – And the weight that’s in my mind knows it could never match All this waiting around, and maybe One day I’ll get me back I’ll see you where you are Won’t be your lost and found

U-Turn 06:06
Sat here waiting for something normal to reappear When there’s nothing normal here Time will keep your fear Breathing Curtain call when It’s easier just to stall Quell the inevitable Conclusions to be drawn And in When rolling thunder finds a friend It rolls harder in defence Plummet further growing longer spiralling U-turn Paradigms in a paradox Reeling in and then just not Fight or flight push or pull It’s the inevitable Tied in When rolling thunder finds a friend It rolls harder in defence Plummet further growing longer spiralling And storms keep thunder rolling in Rolling harder in defence Plummet further growing longer spiralling U-turn And it grows louder reeling in Dissonance under pale skin Trembling pausing moving in It grows stronger U-turn

about

#tagmeinnit celebrates, acknowledges and thanks ALL the amazingly talented collaborating musicians, wonderful friends, producers/sound engineers, music venues and label management who have played a part in the Breathe Band story so far. We’ve been extremely grateful to have worked with you all, (mostly over the lockdown periods, and then and a bit beyond too!)
Many of these tracks were recorded and put together by ourselves, either via Pete recording stems on 8 track in my living room, and then others adding their parts remotely and finally us sending them off for mixing and mastering.
Thank you all for your contributions and support - we are very proud of our first long-awaited album. Putting it together and getting it finished was certainly not without its’ challenges, but we got there in the end!!
